Plant-based soul food on 75th Street

Soul Veg City gives Chatham a plant-based soul-food meal. The continuing Chicago restaurant is separate from other businesses with similar Soul Vegetarian names. Its deli and sit-down service make different kinds of visits possible.

A Lakeview diner or a Wicker Park beer garden

The Chicago Diner ... Lakeview is the continuing Halsted Street restaurant. Choose the marked vegan dishes and a shake. Handlebar adds a full bar and beer garden to vegan comfort food. Handlebar also serves dishes that are not vegan, so use the actual menu.

Edgewater and Albany Park have their own meals

Alice & Friends’ Vegan Kitchen ... Edgewater is the small walk-in Chicago branch. Glenview and Oak Park have different arrangements. Kale My Name serves plant-based comfort food on Montrose Avenue in Albany Park.

Old favorites need a current address

Bloom, Kitchen 17’s regular restaurant and the Logan Square Chicago Diner are closed. Our Chicago closure guide keeps those records separate from the places serving now.
